A large full dot-matrix LCD display offers optimum readability in any lighting condition, while the IC-M604A VHF Marine Transceiver&8217;s submersible construction allows it to withstand submersion in up to 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes. The IC-M604A&8217;s Force5Audio feature ensures superior receiver performance through its exceptional receiver specifications which allows a weak signal a better chance of being heard when louder singles are around. Connect this marine radio to an external hailer horn to communicate with other boats, deck or dock hands, and the built-in 30W amplifier ensures your message is loud and clear. The RX speaker function allows you to monitor received radio audio from the hailer horn. RX speaker function also allows you to make an announcement on-board from the microphone. No matter what channel you're tuned to, the built-in ITU Class-D DSC inside the M604 continuously monitors channel 70. The 10-keypad allows simple and efficient operation of the DSC emergency functions, vital for your safety at sea. This VHF Marine Transceiver&8217;s position request and position report function allows you to exchange position data between your boat and other ships for additional safety.
